About Geoff

Hi, I'm Geoff.  I'm a bit of a physics geek, I studied astrophysics at Edinburgh and now work as a science buyer for a UK bookselling chain.  I'm also into science fiction, kitesurfing and kite landboarding, mountaineering and tinkering with computers, specifically Linux based systems. 

I've got a science books blog and a general geekery blog, and I'm also vaguely associated (in a musically talentless way) with Scottish band The Martians.


Likes: dogs, desolate surf-ridden beaches, dark skies, proper beer and single malt whisky.

Dislikes: Windows, celery, rain, falling from great heights.
